A public relations disaster hit Radio Shack and causes its CEO to resign. CEO Dave Edmondson C.V was found inaccurate by Star Telegram.

The newspaper allowed comments on its website which gradually turned into hard criticism by Investors, customers and anonymous people.

Finally Edmondson had to step down. It is hard to tell if it’s the result of a 62 percent drop in Radio Shack's profit in the fourth quarter and the fact that it will close 700 stores as part of a corporate turnaround or due to his lie but is definitely affected by the public pressure that floated through the blogs and comments.
