How To: Build Your Own Brain Wave Machine

Categories:    -Design-   -Gadgets-   -How to-   -Technology-   -Tips&Tricks-   -Misc-   -Science-

What is Brain Wave SynchronizationBrainwave synchronization is the practice to entrain one's brainwaves to a desired frequency, by means of a periodic stimulus with corresponding frequency. The stimulus can be aural as in the case of binaural beats, or visual, as with a Dreamachine.Brainwave synchronization is a private case of functional brain connectivity concept, whereas functional connectivity is defined as the temporal correlation between spatially-remote neurophysiological events, expressed as deviation from statistical independence (temporal correlation) across these events in distributed neuronal groups and areas, which produce the brainwaves (for the recent review see Fingelkurts An.A., Fingelkurts Al.A., Kähkönen S.

Super Sky Cycle - A Flying Motorcycle

Categories:    -Companies and deals-   -Design-   -Gadgets-   -Interesting sites-   -Technology-   -Misc-   -People-   -Science-
  The super sky cycle is a truly unique flying machine. Basically, it looks like a mad professor's motorcycle. It has two rotors, one on top and one behind and a bicycle front end.The unique thing about it is that its upper propeller isn't motorized. It is used passively to create lift. Invented and patented (US Patent No. 6,978,969) by flight enthusiast Larry Neal, the Super Sky Cycle has all the advantages you'd want from a personal flying device without the disadvantages. Plus, it doubles as a 300 miles range motorcycle when its upper propeller is folded. The Super Sky Cycle is very safe. In fact, it will float down slower than a parachute with the engine turned off at any altitude and land in a very small spot with the pilot in complete control.Taking off and landing requires a short improvised runway and the pilot is kept very safe thanks to the G-Force Landing Gear, also invented by Larry. This unique long stroke shock mounted parallelogram landing gear is a break through in gyroplane safety. Technical Data of Super Sky Cycle:Height 7’ 4” or 6’ 11” (lowers down for garage) Length: 13’ 8” Width: 84” Kit Price: $24,995Engine : (for golden version): 2.5L EFI Subaru 180hpVideo: Link: TheButteflyLLC   ;

Sometimes talent, passion and persistence can bring better results than Billions of dollars.  In this case, Australian amateur astronomer Mike Salway, has produced images of Jupiter, that are equal in clarity to pictures taken by Voyager during its Jupiter travel.According to Universetoday.com http://www.universetoday. com/am/publish/ jupiter_032006.html Mike's technique is based on shooting a series of 450 photos in a rate of 5 frames a second using a Philips ToUCam PC Video Camera.  If you want to practice home astronomy, check out Mike's website for DIY guides. &nbs
