Think of it this way- approximately every 5th of the estimated 1,018,057,389 web users (according to Internet world stats) has a blog.
In other words, there are m-a-n-y bloggers out there with readership of 1. In case they read their own blog.
What the overwhelming number really means is that the public has taken publishing into their own hands. Competition over readers is fierce and the best will win.
Another implication is that individual blogs are getting harder to find in the sea of blogs. So more and more bloggers should consider writing for open blogs like linkadelic magazine.
This cannot be bad for the readers and web users. As it will synthesize better content over time.
