not sure if it's world's smallest
There is a Russian guy who does this. He made working electric enginge that fits on ant's back. He hollowed out a hair and inserted a rose into it. I saw his works in Kiev under a microscope.
This guy is definitely great, no doubt. But world's smallest? I don't think so. These people didn't do much research into this art.
In Russia the story starts with a legendary guy called 'Lefty' who put "horse shoes" on a flea (I guess that makes it a flea shoe). Then another Russian guy thought he could do better, and that second guy is the one I'm talking about. But the point is, there were other people before.
